Why I do, What I do?
I I believe in a better way to manage investments.
It is the time in the market that matters/works.
It is important to stay invested and ride out the bumps along the way. Frequent trading (buying and selling) does not work. I consider my job to
help my clients enjoy their wealth and live a rich and healthy life rather than worrying about it.
There is NO “The Wizard of Oz'' It does not exist anywhere.
No one has a crystal ball.
Everyone has a big picture in her/his mind.
My job is to assist you to invest in yours.

Simplify Complex Financial concepts - Easy to understand with
Rules of Thumb
The 50/30/20 Rule for Budgeting:
50% of your earning need to go towards NEEDS
30% of your earning need to cover your WANTS
20% of your earning set aside for Investing/saving and debt payment.
The Three-Bucket Rule for Budgeting:
NOW Bucket: Covering living expenses and emergencies.
SOON Bucket: Covers saving/investments with limited time horizon, <10 years.
LATER Bucket: Set aside for later years - Retirement and Long Term Health Care.
Retirement Income Planning Buckets: LIQUIDITY - LONGEVITY - LEGACY
Do not Rent A lifestyle: Sudden wealth at young age.
Managing wealth is not all that easy. Making money is not all that difficult but managing and holding on to it is. Be careful and seek help.
Hans specializes in retirement income planning for certainty of income during retirement. Certainty of income during retirement is very important for the peace of mind.
Retirement is no longer a destination, it is a journey, a transition, an opportunity to live life your own way, the way you want. Following two websites provide compelling information to highlight this point.

Hans creates customized investment portfolios, based on risk tolerance, time horizon of his clients to meet financials goals, utilizing Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).
ETFs are an intriguing alternative to garden-variety mutual funds. They offer comparably lower costs, higher tax efficiency, better transparency and intra-day liquidity, instant diversification, trading flexibility, access to hard-to-reach markets, and administrative ease to name a few advantages.
The custodian for all portfolios is a discount broker, Charles Schwab, as Hans Sharma is an institutional broker with Schwab. Client has direct access to the portfolio and can view any time.
Sound financial decisions need to be based on client’s time horizon (age) and risk tolerance and not on emotions. I offer my clients the opportunity for the best chance for Financial Success.
My primary focus and concern is preventing my clients from making bad mistakes during times of fear and greed.
Being independent, my services are always in the best interest of my clients without any conflict of interest.
In most areas of life, emotion serves an important role and should be given careful consideration. Emotion help us empathize with our loved ones, moves us to do good in the world and can lead to some of the life’s richest moments. But emotions should be removed from the investment decision making process.
The investing world defies many common laws of every day living or life, which is why most of us are psychologically ill-equipped to invest in risk (Stocks and Bonds) assets.
Year 2017 - 2018: Noble prize in economics was awarded to Professor Richard Thaler of University of Chicago. His finding is that people make poor economic choices and do not always act in their own self-interest. According to him, people often make decisions that run counter to their best interest and such actions carry far-reaching economic consequences. Basic reason is that most of us are busy, sometimes absent minded and lazy. He further emphasized that policy makers and advisers must recognize this human irrationality.
